CSC General Contracting

Clint Claycamp with CSC General Contracting had some shirts printed up here for the Fall.  He was pretty psyched about them.  It was one of those things where he was able to deliver a basic layout, and we pulled the design together and even delivered the logo back to him in a format he could use on other stuff (which he didn't have before).

RCI Safety

RCI Safety is located in a neighboring town, and to kick off a recent expansion, they had some shirts done along with a banner (we can do those, too).  We didn't do the design work on this (they'd paid good money for a design firm to do one), and used their existing logo and printed it up to the right color specifications.

The 750th

We have special discount pricing for folks in the military and school organizations.  We appreciate the "givers" in this world and we want to give back whenever we can.  This project is for a division of firefighters currently serving over in Afghanistan.  God bless the crap out of them and their families.
As is most often the case, this design a Billy the Squid Original done at little to no extra charge.

Town and Country EMS designs and shirts

The printing on these shirts is ultra tight!  Hi-five to Angie for getting it dang near perfect.

Here in Hiawatha, the local ambulance service changed hands and with that, the name and logo for the service needed to be changed too.  Originally it was "Brown County EMS", but since the service wasn't limited to just Brown County, KS, it needed a new name.  Duke (the lucky new owner) came to us with "Town and Country EMS" and requested we help him out with the logo and get some shirts printed up for the crew.  This is what we came up with.

The Best at "Normal"

It was recently brought to our attention that there are some folks out there who thought we only do "weird" stuff.  Well, as much as that is generally my preference, we also and more often do "normal" stuff, and we do it as good or better than anywhere else around.  Have a fuzzy design the size of a postage stamp that you want put on your shirts?  We can do that and at little or no extra charge.

I just wanted to dispel that idea that we're limited in what we do here.  We love shredding the box, but if you've got a box you need us to work in, we can do that too, better and at a price you probably won't be able to beat.

Fall

Last Fall was a toughy.  It seemed like I was doing about a hundred things at once, and more was added daily to the stack of stuff that I was falling behind on.  But so far, this entry into the school season has been significantly different.  My wife Angie has come along full time and has overtaken the shirt ordering and printing.  She does a wonderful job as you who have seen our stuff would attest.  All I'm doing is design and illustration work and trying to look busy.  I think our volume of work is the same as last year, but the added help has made all the difference.  Hats off to Angie, who can really make it happen (I'm not just saying that.  She doesn't even let me print because she thinks I'll screw it up which ahem almost never happens).

Ok, this is a little off topic, but when you consider what this is all about, it totally makes sense.  After all, you could get some of this pizza on your shirt that you bought from Billy's and then have to wash it.

Recipe (super easy):
1 Naan loaf
Cheap pizza sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Kalamata olives (or whatever)
Roma Tomato
Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 450 degrees or so, and while your waiting on that, put the stuff on the pizza in such as way that it makes sense to you.  You can use a pita bread loaf instead if you can't get a naan loaf.  Or you can use a ready made pizza crust.  This is really easy and super good.

Transdimensional

The weather is starting to turn increasingly and more consistently warmer.  It appears that the bet I took out with my friend Micah that there will be at least one snow day this year has been determined as not in my favor.

I'm out $5, in case you're wondering.

So in commemoration of the beginning of warmness across the central plains of this great land, I'll recommend this small bit of culture from Big Smith:

Warm days are ahead in the bodies and hopefully the hearts of all of us around here.

Getting the new website up and running the last couple of days.  Drop me a line and let me know what you all think.
